Wheel LIFE

Experience. Understand. Include.

Rebound WA’s Wheel LIFE program is a fun, hands-on disability awareness initiative designed to help participants gain real insight into living with a physical disability. Through engaging activities and inspiring stories, Wheel LIFE builds empathy, encourages inclusion, and highlights the importance of an active lifestyle.

What’s Included

A typical Wheel LIFE session offers:

  • An educational chat from an individual with lived experience of a physical disability

  • A hands-on session to learn wheelchair basketball skills

  • A supervised game of wheelchair basketball

We tailor the session to suit your group’s needs. Program durations can range from 1 hour, to a full day, or even       multi-day workshops.

Where Can It Be Held?

Choose your preferred location:

  • Herb Graham Centre, Mirrabooka – fully accessible with showers, change rooms, a café, conference rooms, and elevated seating.

  • Your venue – as long as there’s a suitable playing surface (e.g., indoor court or hard-court area), we can bring the program to you!

For Schools

Wheel LIFE is an excellent fit for primary, secondary, and tertiary education settings. It provides students with:

  • First-hand experience of physical disability through sport

  • An understanding of accessibility and inclusion

  • Positive role models in the form of wheelchair athletes

We align our sessions with curriculum outcomes related to health, physical education, and personal development.
