Meet The Team
Simon Mead - Chief Executive Officer
As our CEO, Simon is responsible for the overall management of Rebound WA. That means he oversees our programs and services, fundraising, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, marketing, administration, and governance.
Linda Edge - Finance and Corporate Services Coordinator
Linda manages our finance, IT, risk, policies, human resources and offers valuable service support wherever it is needed. She also coordinates our grant applications, aquittals and general office administrative requirements.
Linda is also the main contact for our board. Coordinating and managing board meeting and the hiring process of both board members and staff. She is an integral part of the Rebound WA team, working mainly behind the scenes ensuring all programs are running to capacity.
Hayden Lewis - Programs Officer
Hayden is our knowledge hub here at Rebound WA. He coordinates our youth programs (Whiz Kidz and Spinners), our sport and recreation programs, including national and WA competitions as well as liaising with individual sporting associations. Hayden is able to offer expert, individually tailored advice to new members about sports and recreation opportunities that will suit and interested and work to their strengths. He also coordinates both our Wheelchair Rugby WA program, and the WA State Wheelchair Basketball League, as well as our network of volunteers
Sam Starkie - Marketing and Communications Officer
Sam manages all things brand and development within Rebound WA. He brings a fresh perspective to the team being the only Gen Z’er within the office. Sam manages our relationships, online presence and helps to work on fundraising ideas.
Sam comes to the team after experience in the commercial world as well as being fresh out of university. He plans to continue his learning on the job and is really enjoying working in the not-for-profit sector, being able to make an impact. He loves attending Whiz Kidz sessions whenever he can, which “never fails to put you in a good mood”.
Natalie Alexander PLY - Project Officer
Natalie (Nat) Alexander is a former Paralympian, Wheelchair Basketball at the 2020 Tokyo games, and qualified Speech Pathologist. She currently manages our Get Active initiative, as well as being the coordinator for all our hospital visits and allied health activities.
Chantell Tracey - Bookkeeper
Chantell is responsible for managing the day to day finances at Rebound WA. She comes to the team with vast experience in managing accounts as well as working within the tax sector for many years. She handles all of our sponsor accounts and works to maintain financial compliance for both Rebound WA and Telethon Community Cinemas.
Clint Morgan - Wheel Life Coordinator & Maintenance Manager
Clint runs all things Wheel Life here at Rebound WA. He takes bookings runs the sessions and organises facilitators (when he cant be there himself). He is also in charge of maintaining all of our equipment, from chairs to hand cycles Clint is an expert at knowing whats going on and how to get them back to working order.
Tim Priest - Project Officer
Tim works part time at Rebound WA, as the lead man when it comes to all things Para Sport Clubhouse.
He works with key stakeholders and government officials to emphasise the need for a grassroots para clubhouse and progress the project forwards.
Tim is also the key contact for our two-flagship events, City Showcase and the Para Sport Festival, making sure the events are fully compliant and runs smoothly on the day.
Suzanne Perry
DIRECTOR
Suzanne was a General Manager for the Rottnest Island Authority from 2012 to 2017 and now works for the PACT group as their Marketing & Innovations Manager. Suzanne brings to the Board strong skills in the areas of business strategy and development and commercialisation and marketing.
Renee de Prazer
DIRECTOR
Renee is a proud Whiz Kidz Mum, with all three of her children joining in at Murdoch Whiz Kidz each week.
Professionally Renee’s extensive career spans both public and private health sectors, where she has made significant contributions as a frontline worker during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating exceptional leadership and resilience in challenging times. Her passion for healthcare is further reflected in her 2019 Excellence in Nursing Award in Education, which highlights her dedication to advancing nursing practice and education.
With qualifications including a Masters of Nursing (Leadership and Management) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (Specialisation in Emergency Nursing), Renee continues to inspire the next generation of health leaders. She is also a Fellow and Certified Health Executive through the Australasian College of Health Service Management, and holds an adjunct senior lecturer position at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Renee is also currently the Service Director at Osborne Park hospital, a rehabilitation hospital here in Western Australia.
Meet The Board
Craig McAllister
DIRECTOR
Craig is a passionate advocate for creating opportunities for people living with disabilities to participate fully in community life, from grassroots involvement to professional pathways. He is committed to supporting initiatives that empower participants, families and communities through inclusive sport and recreational programs.
Craig brings extensive experience across disability advocacy, government policy and system reform, as well as portfolio and governance management in major infrastructure projects. His previous board roles, strategic leadership experience and understanding of complex organisational environments equip him to contribute effectively to boards seeking meaningful impact and sustainable growth.
Having engaged with Rebound WA staff and board members, Craig is motivated to contribute to the organisation’s mission, supporting inclusive opportunities and enhancing the experiences of participants and families. He brings experience, strategic insight and perspective that adds clear value to the Board.
Daniel Skirving
DIRECTOR
Daniel is a passionate advocate for sport in Western Australia, with experience working across high performance sport and major community initiatives. He has played an active role in progressing opportunities for athletes and strengthening pathways that contribute to national success.
He has collaborated with key figures in the sector, including former Special Olympics Australia CEO Pierre Comis, supporting a major bid to host the Special Olympics in Western Australia and advising on strategic planning at a national level. These experiences have given Daniel strong insight into the important relationships between sporting organisations, government stakeholders and commercial partners.
In his professional career at Deloitte, Daniel manages a large portfolio and has a strong track record of improving financial sustainability while upholding high standards of governance. He brings a collaborative approach, a commitment to continuous improvement and a clear passion for creating inclusive sport opportunities,
Alison Hilton
CHAIRPERSON
DIRECTOR
Alison has been a parent member of Rebound WA for approximately seven years. Her daughter, Asha has previously been involved in the Whiz Kids program at Mirrabooka and Murdoch. More recently, Asha enjoys para kayaking and wheelchair tennis, whilst also continuing to enjoy swimming, adaptive mountain bike riding and any other sport or outdoor challenge she can.
Alison is a firm believer that sport and leisure activities are important for physical, mental, and social wellbeing. She advocates at a range of levels to ensure sport and recreation is accessible and available to everyone.
Professionally, Alison is a passionate educator and is the Academic Chair of the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) program at Murdoch University in the School of Education. Her most recent research focuses on student experiences as well as social justice, inclusion, and differentiation within secondary schools.
Alison hold several qualifications including a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Asian Studies, Graduate Diploma in Education and is a Doctor of Education.
Alison previously served on several school and not-for profit boards and is keen to support Rebound WA and the community they support.
Liesja Mason
DIRECTOR
Liesja is an accomplished People and Culture leader with deep experience in Human Resource Management and organisational transformation across Western Australian organisations. She has spent more than 15 years partnering with Boards and senior executives to deliver people strategies that strengthen culture, performance and sustainable growth.
During her time at Football West, she worked closely with the CEO and Board throughout the COVID 19 period, helping the organisation remain viable while supporting the launch of a charitable arm and leading significant change at a critical moment for the football community.
Liesja is passionate about inclusion and the positive impact that sport has on individuals and communities. She is committed to ensuring people with physical disabilities have the support and access needed to participate in sport at the level they choose. With a strong understanding of governance, leadership and stakeholder engagement, she brings valuable expertise to the board..
