Spinners Youth Active
Wheelchair Basketball for Young Adults (Ages 13+)
Murdoch, WA
Spinners Youth Active is an inclusive, skills-based wheelchair basketball program for young people aged 13 and over with physical disabilities. Based in Murdoch, this program offers a fun and supportive space where teenagers can develop their basketball abilities, stay active, and build lasting friendships.
What to Expect
Weekly training sessions focused on fundamental skills, teamwork, and game play with a social twist
A welcoming environment that promotes confidence, independence, and connection
Opportunities to progress into social leagues or competitive wheelchair basketball pathways
A strong sense of community and belonging
A Bridge to the Next Stage
Spinners is the ideal next step for participants graduating from Whiz Kidz. It helps ease the transition into the adult sport and recreation programs, whether your goal is to keep things social or to explore high-level competition.
Supportive Role Models
The program is led by trained volunteers—with lived experience in disability sport—who mentor and support participants both on and off the court. They help foster a positive space where the kids can thrive, feel understood, and be themselves.
