Run For Fun

6 Week Frame Running Program

Activities: This six week program will introduce your child to the joy of running and games that can be played while running.  Your child will learn how to use a frame safely and how to stop, start and steer a frame.

Who: Kids with a physical disability, aged 2 – 7

Where: Herb Graham Recreation Centre, Mirrabooka 6061 (38 Ashbury Crescent) – Outdoor Court 1

When: Saturdays 9.30am to 10.30am commencing February 15th and finishing on March 29th (please note: no session on March 1st due to long weekend)

Equipment: Frame Runners are strictly limited in size and quantity – get in quick to secure a place! Participants borrowing equipment will be able to use it for the duration of the program including between sessions. Participants who have their own equipment are also welcome. All participants will be required to supply a bicycle helmet for their child to wear during the program.

Please note: Due to venue constraints this term will be run outdoors. There is limited shade available in the primary space we will use so please ensure you and your family are sun smart each week, and bring sufficient water (although cold refills and Centre’s kiosk will remain available inside). As always our team of volunteers will be sensitive and understanding of your child’s needs and additional breaks are welcome and encouraged for anyone who may need them during the program.

Due to the bitumen surface of the outdoor court helmets will be absolutely compulsory however Noula and Lynn will assist with any children who have an aversion, to help build their tolerance and get them participating!

Cost: $90.00
