City Showcase 2020 Wrap Up

In celebration of International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) Rebound WA once again hosted the City Showcase in Brookfield Place.

The City Showcase gives various city workers and politicians the opportunity to take part in a game of wheelchair basketball. Through these games, participants get a chance to experience the skill and coordination required to participate in an adaptive sport. Participants also get an understanding of the effect different surfaces have on a wheelchair user, and some of the accessibility dilemmas people living with disability face when navigating the city.

The aim of this event is to increase awareness surrounding disability and the many physical and social barriers our members and people living with disability still face.
