Rebound WA is a charitable association assisting Western Australians living with physical disability to lead fuller, more active and more connected lives.
Our aim is remove barriers – both physical and mental – so children and adults with physical disability can have the same participation opportunities as their able-bodied peers.
If you have a question about sport and disability, we can help! We’ve been doing this for over 60 years so we have a lot of expertise you can tap into.
We can help with:
- Assessments on which sports and equipment will best fit your mobility needs and interests,
- Adapted sports equipment and how to access them from NDIS and grants,
- Let you know about the accessibility of sporting public facilities
- And much, much more!
If you have any questions regarding sport and disability, we’d love to hear from you: by email, a message on Facebook, – or call us ((08) 6143 5800)!
We can provide information on a wide variety of accessible sport and recreational activities.
Whether you are interested in sporting opportunities because you want to join a team sport for fun, fitness and friendship, or are aiming for the highest level of elite competition- we can help you get there. We can also help with exploring recreational activities to help with rehabilitation or just hanging out with peers.
Using sports, we build bridges between audiences with and without disabilities.
We work collaboratively with sporting and recreational clubs and associations as well as community groups, to educate and advocate for inclusion and accessibility. Using wheelchair basketball, we run fun educational experiences for schools, supply corporations and organisations with speakers and team-building retreats.
Rebound WA connects an active community of members who offer peer support.
Sports foster community, so no matter what kind of physical disability you have- or your sport- we can connect you with someone to talk with who will understand what you face every day, and be able to provide advice and support. Additionally, our community stays connected via social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, where we share information on social events, sporting fixtures and results and celebrate member achievements.
